Homestay in Guatemala

Javier, Lola and their seven year old daughter Chusita were wonderful!  I´m glad I had the opportunity to live with them. While Javier was teaching me spanish, Lola was adamant to teach me Tzutujil (the local Mayan language).  Nemla-maltiosh (thank you very much) Lola!! 

And then there is Chusita or La Chus as Lola would refer to her which is the equivalent of ´trouble´.  Everyday she would come into my room and grab random items from my desk such as bug spray or hand sanitizer and laugh uncontrollably until I could stop her from emptying them.  . . . La Chus!
