Detour: Copan Ruinas

I decided to leave Utila in the direction of Nicaragua, but one of my fellow travelers was able to coerce my thinking and lead me in a different direction.  I am thankful that Tasha decided that I would be going to Copan as I had yet to see any Mayan ruins.  Unfortunately, while in Guatemala I chose to skip the day and a half bus north to Tikal and opted instead to bus directly to Utila.  Tikal will have to be a future trip! 

Tomorrow I will get back on the bus in the direction of Nicaragua.  Well, that is not entirely true.  As luck would have it there are no direct buses from Copan to Tegucigalpa where I have to stop first in order to continue on to Nicaragua; therefore, I have to take the bus about three hours back toward Utila then change direction toward Tegucigalpa.  Thanks again Tasha!
